Postmortem:

During out maintenance window, unfortunately, we saw an outage of the MachShip website.

Our maintenance tasks were to upgrade the VMware hypervisors, which is part of the best practice of keeping our IT infrastructure up to date. During the upgrade, our main external traffic facing virtual routers faced network issues that meant that traffic from the internet was not routing to our internal infrastructure, which hosts the components that make up the MachShip platform.

After troubleshooting, we eventually restarted the virtual routers which corrected the issue.

We will be updating the backend MachShip systems.

MachShip should be generally available however we anticipate there will interruptions during the maintenance window.
